Oh my Abi, you are two months!

Oh my Abi, you are two months old.

TWO MONTHS ALREADY!

The time is just flying and while I find myself yearning for that elusive pause button, I am absolutely mesmerised by your ever emerging little personality. Baby, you're a star!

You are the happiest little blossom that ever blossomed. Fo' sho'. So long as there's a boob or a heartbeat within reach, you are content. You had some cuddles with Aunty Pink yesterday and she kept telling Mummy she couldn't believe how relaxed you were, just laying there all squishy in her arms!

Mummy found herself shedding a few tears while packing away most of your 0000 clothes the other week. You are growing too damn fast for my liking! You have grown 5cm and gained just under 1.5kg - My first exclusively breastfed baby and you are growing amazingly. High five to the both of us!

In the past month, you have gone from those catch 'em if you can, sneaky smiles to these enormous, heart warming grins. And though Daddy's fro is still your fave thing to smile at, you are happily flashing grins to the world - Even at Aunty Beryl (she was my Nanny's best friend) when we bumped into her on the weekend at the market!

You have just recently found your voice too. Little baby chatterbox! Given the fact you come from a family of chatterboxes though, I'm not surprised! You make the most divine little coo'ing and ahh'ing noises, and your eyes light up when we have our little conversations. You especially love when I tell you that you are a little talking muffin!

My Abi, you are a shifty little catnapper during the day unless you are bundled up in your wrap. You're lucky you're cute, woman! Night times are divine though - Your sister and brother trained me well in the broken sleep stakes so we happily do 2-4 hour feeds a night. Our night feeds are usually the only quiet, still moments we share (yes, because your siblings are preschool aged terrorists) so Mummy is in no rush for you to sleep through the night, my little blossom.

Everywhere we go, people tell me how beautiful you are. They tell me how peaceful you look as I carry you around in the wrap. Older people love you and young girls cluck over you. It makes Mummy's heart swell to know that the world sees the beauty and light in you that we do!

And I tell you my Abi, if three babies are my limit, I am so blessed to have you as my third x
